Eligibility and Requirements for Meal Plan
Weekly meal plans are required for all first year resident students. Block and weekly meal plans are available to all commuter and upperclass resident students.

    Enrollment
Meal plan agreements are for the full academic year and are renewed automatically for the spring semester.

    Meal Plan Billing
Meal plan charges are added to each semester’s term bills. Non-Rutgers students must submit payment with a Dining Agreement.

    Meal Plan Information
The Weekly Meal Plan and the Block Meal Plans meal swipes can only be used at Stonsby Commons. Dining Dollars can be used at any on-campus dining location, except for the Center for Law and Justice Café (CLJ Café). Meals are served when classes are in session as determined by the academic schedule of RU-N undergraduate colleges. Weekly plan meal swipes are not transferable to another person. Meal swipes are counted from Monday-Sunday. Meal swipes and meal exchanges do not roll over week-to-week. Dining dollars can be used to pay for meals swipes for guests at any on-campus dining location, i.e., meal swipes cannot be used for guests’ meals. Unused Dining Dollars do not roll over from semester-to-semester.

Block Meal Plan meal swipes do not roll over semester-to-semester nor do the meal exchanges roll over from week-to-week. Dining Dollars can be used at any on-campus dining location and do not roll over from semester-to-semester.

    Charges and Cancellations
If you withdraw or are de-registered from classes or cancel housing, you need to cancel your meal plan. Requests for changes to meal plans can be made until the second Monday in each semester by contacting the Dining Services Office. Charges will be pro-rated based on the number of days the individual is active in the plan and will be charged for the amount of Dining Dollars used prior to cancellation.
