About the Dietitian:

Our Nutrition Program and Services at Stevens Institute of Technology are lead by Alexa McDonald, RD, CDN. Alexa is a nationally accredited Registered Dietitian with over 5 years experience as a food, nutrition, and wellness professional. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from the University of Maryland, College Park, Alexa went on to complete her Dietetic Internship and is currently completing her M.S. in Foods & Nutrition and working towards becoming a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).

As a Registered Dietitian, Alexa has in-depth experience in the areas of campus foodservice, counseling, culinary nutrition, sports nutrition, food allergies, weight management, and wellness. As an avid runner and self-proclaimed foodie, Alexa is most often praised by her clients for her ability to “fit in the good stuff” while assisting them in accomplishing their health and fitness goals. Through education, verbal support, and helpful resources, she not only helps her clients achieve their short-term results but helps to empower them to develop a healthier (and sustainable) lifestyle for the long-haul.
